An update on what's new for this year's fair!

As 18,500 people attended the Tasmanian Craft Fair in 2022, we’re grateful for everyone who provided their feedback via our survey! We’ve taken a look at any common opportunities and we’re implementing them for this year!

Here’s a look at what’s happening…

New ticket hubs with a designated fast entry for online ticket holders

Tickets can be purchased from August 1 online and at the Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre. You will also be able to purchase at the ticket hubs (at two locations during the fair), however this will still be done by our volunteers through the online system. It will definitely be a faster entry if you come with your ticket pre-purchased.

An awesome early bird prize

Early Bird tickets are on sale from August 1 - September 30, 2023. All Early Bird ticket sales go into the draw to win a $500 voucher to spend with any exhibitor at the Fair.

New masterclasses and demos

As Australia’s largest working craft fair, we’re increasing the numbers of working displays and adding Masterclasses and workshops to learn new arts and skills. These details will be released in August.

Venue numbers have changed!

Venue 5 is no longer venue 5! As the program is released in October, you will note that what used to be the Community Complex as Vanue 5, is now 1a followed by b, c and d for other venues in that area. The Showgrounds will be Venue 2a, b, c etc. This makes it a lot easier to group venues and know what’s being featured where!

Extra activities across Deloraine

While the Craft Fair itself can take a day or two to get around, we have also noted that some local artisans such as Fiona Francois will NOT be at this year’s fair. Why? Because she’s now been able to open a full time studio and gallery in the main street of Deloraine. We think this is wonderful and will include all of these extra spaces in places to see.

Some great offers to buy unique, local Christmas gifts this year…

We’re working with our exhibitors to build you a nice Christmas list of options. When you buy local and handmade, your money is going toward families and stays in local communities. Plus it’s a chance to buy that special someone, an item that’s truly unique!

More fun activities for kids

Face painting and activities have been fun in recent years, but we’re adding more amusement spaces to give kids something just for them, if they’re starting to tire!

Extended entertainment

We’ve got a broader range of entertainment to enjoy and as usual we love supporting local Tasmanian talent.

And items that return of course…

  • The $10,000 Premiers Arts Prize

  • the largest collection of quality Tasmanian exhibitors

  • Emerging and Feature Artisans

  • select interstate exhibitors and few other surprises too!
