K. Mueller Design

Knut Mueller was born in Germany near Hamburg and moved to Tasmania, Australia in 1982 . His designs are inspired by the rugged beauty of Tasmania, it's flora and fauna and many other influences.  Knut's Studio is in the Coastal town of St. Helens on the North East coast and he lives in Binalong Bay, the start of the famous Bay of Fires. You will find him most days in his shop working on his latest creations. When he's not there, he's usually at the beach! Tasmania has some of the most pristine untouched beaches in the world.

 He uses a number of techniques in his jewellery design. You can come into the shop in St Helens at any time and see the artist at work. Many of his designs are initially saw pierced and meticulously filed from sheet such as in his "Tree of Life" or carved out of wax as in his "Dragons & Tasmanian Devils." He has made specialty pieces from cuttlefish castings and more... All jewellery is then filed, sanded,hand polished and buffed into fine jewellery.
