We are an active voluntary service club, working to improve our community.
Rotary is a non-profit service organisation, so the proceeds from the Craft Fair are re-invested into our community. Over the years, we have helped to develop the Meander River banks to the beautiful attraction it is now, including building two pedestrian bridges. We have assisted to fund the Meander Valley Enterprise Centre and made significant donations to our local hospital and aged care facilities.
The Rotary Club helped start Giant Steps, a school for autistic children in Deloraine. In addition, we provide annual scholarships for both tertiary and trade students in our area. Each year, we run the Model United Nations Assembly for senior secondary students across the State, and a Learn-to-Swim campaign for local primary school children.
If you would like to know more about Rotary in Deloraine, come along to a weekly dinner meeting as our guest, and have be a chat to the members. Perhaps you are interested in helping us run the Tasmanian Craft Fair - we can always use more volunteers!
